UPDATE: Contest deadline extended until July 15th!

Get outside to enjoy the great outdoors and the New Mexico State Parks this summer! Hyde Memorial State Park and a few others are currently closed until further notice due to extreme fire danger. We are hopeful they will reopen soon and previous photos taken at these parks are eligible for this contest. Please check the individual Park pages for the latest Park status information on the New Mexico State Parks website here before you plan your trip.

Rules for participation in the #NMStateParks Great Outdoors Photo Contest:

• Images must be posted to Instagram using the hashtag #NMStateParks between the dates of  June 25 - July 15, 2018.
• Participants must have a PUBLIC Instagram account to be eligible. 
• Participants must follow the @nmstateparks and @travelnewmexico Instagram accounts.
• Instagrammers have full creative license over subject material, but are encouraged to submit imagery with people based on the following categories:
  • Trails
    • Example: Hike, Bike, Trail Rides, etc...
  • Water
    • Example: Swim, Boat, Fish, etc… (with life jackets)
  • Camping
    • Example: Picnics, Playing, Shelter, etc...
  • New Mexico Skies
    • Example: Sunrise, Sunset, Stars, etc..
• Images from the hashtag will be judged by the New Mexico State Parks Department and their representatives. All decisions about winning photographs are made at the discretion of these organizations and are final.
